General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Programs and Services, the Regional Program Director will be responsible for programs operational success of AIMED Human Services regional programs by ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation.


Specific Duties:

  • Carryout the strategic plan for program expansion and growth.
  • Oversight and Supervise, Program Managers, Program Specialist and Administrative staff.
  • Responsible for recruitment and new hire on-boarding.
  • Forecast staffing needs and develop and action plan to prevent shortage of staffing across programs.
  • Work with Director of Clinical Services and Programs for all new hires.
  • Assist in the oversight and management of local services.
  • Oversight of new admissions and discharges.
  • Become a Medication Administration train the trainer.
  • Becomes a certified investigator.
  • Assist in the identification and approval of new sites.
  • Team Management and Development: evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of staff.
  • Knowledge and understanding of incident management and investigative reporting.
  • Become proficient in all systems: Therap and Incident Management.
  • Implement a professional development program to address employee experience and skill gaps.
  • Utilize performance measurements across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees.
  • Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance.
  • Deep understanding of human resources, employee performance improvement plans, and corrective action policies.
  • Program Operational Management: establish consistent, objective program performance standards of accountability.
  • Make sure sites and participant care are always up to our standard of quality and excellence.
  • Represent the agency in the community and participant in community initiatives on behalf of the agency.
  • Attend agency meetings relative to participants and executive team meetings.
  • Assist in the oversight of licensing: preparation, site quarterly and actual licensing.
  • Knowledge of Virginia 105 regulations, Department of BH/DD and monitoring.
  • Have thorough knowledge and understanding of billing for our services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The minimum professional qualifications for Regional Program Director are Master’s Degree and two years in Human Services, Bachelor’s Degree and three years of relevant experience including upper level management experience.


  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Knowledge of governmental contracting.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details

  • Use of personal vehicle required.
  • Strong clinical and behavioral intervention background.
  • Medication administration certification.
  • Interpersonal sensitivity (objective awareness of others, tactful interaction, ease in establishing limits).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Crisis intervention training (i.e. non violent crisis intervention, positive approach, etc)
  • CPR, First Aid and AED.
  • Must clear background investigations.
