A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESERVATION SPECIALIST

As a Reservation Specialist, you the voice of our pet care business. You are always respectful and professional in all your interactions. You take inbound phone calls from current and prospective customers. Also, you make outbound phone calls to return voicemails or follow up on emails and reservation requests. You use phone scripts combined with your excellent communication skills to build the value of our services, build relationships with customers, and promote a variety of activities that are best for each animal. Our primary goal is to ensure each cat and dog is happy, safe, and healthy during their stay.

You process new reservations from start to finish. In order to establish trust and help customers overcome the fear associated with leaving their cat or dog, you handle customer questions and concerns with patience and empathy. Using your sales skills and competitive nature, you promote services that benefit each animal. You use your attention to detail as you document the details of each call. Since you are an animal lover, you also enjoy promoting services that are truly in the best interest of every pet!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESERVATION SPECIALIST

• Basic computer literacy
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Not allergic to dogs or cats
• Ability to input information into the computer while speaking on the phone
• Love for dogs
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalant

At least one year of call center, sales, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Are you adaptable and work well under pressure? Do you present yourself professionally? Are you friendly and able to establish a good rapport with people easily? Do you learn new things quickly?
