Who are we?

Delta Life Fitness - Ormond Beach is a boutique fitness studio built for women which provides 30-minute instructor-led classes throughout the day, on-site supervised kid's corner for client's children while they workout, and utilizes heart-rate monitoring systems during the workout.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be someone who is both professional and outgoing. You will need to have some experience supervising children. We are open to the possibility that this position could be filled by older high-school students who are exceptionally responsible and have demonstrated experience working with children.

What do you need?

• Extroverted personality - capable of speaking with people you do not know.
• Comfortable working with multiple children at once which consist of ages ranging anywhere from 6 months to 13 years old.
• Self-starter - must be able to operate and take initiative with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail - Does not let important details slip through the cracks
• Team player - willing to jump in and assist other team members when and where needed for the success of the team

What does the job consist of?

Delta Life Kid's Room Attendants (KRA) are responsible for supervising our Kid's Corner. You will not be required to change diapers or feed children. The KRA simply ensures that children are behaved, not rough housing, bullying or breaking things, during the time in which their mother is taking a 30-minute class. Each session is only 30 minutes long and children will rotate out at the end of those 30-minute sessions.

The KRA is also responsible for cleaning and organizing the Kid's Corner after each shift. The ideal candidate will have no issues in reading stories to children or joining in kid's activities.

Other duties when children are not present in the Kid's Corner while on shift may include;

• Spot cleaning the studio to ensure a clean and presentable environment for clients
• Washing and folding towels
• Greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner
• Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of your surroundings in accordance with studio policies
• Assist fellow team-members with whatever is needed to support our mission to help reach as many women as possible within our community

What will my schedule be like?

The Kid's Corner is available during our 8:30am and 9:30am class slots and from 4:30pm to 8:00pm Monday through Friday. It is also available from 8:00am to 11:00am on Saturdays. There is no Kid's Corner on Sundays. Midday early afternoon spots from 11:45am to 1:30pm may also become available.

You will be expected to cover these windows on a rotation basis with other KRAs. Each class is only 30-minutes long and children will rotate out every 30 minutes from 4:30pm to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday, and from 8:00am to 11:00am on Saturdays.

Typically, your shift will be 4-5 hours a day.

What can I expect to be paid?

Starting pay is $10/hour with a free membership to our studio.
