$15 an hour base pay + bilingual and additional shift differentials

Full time 40 hours (M-F 9:30a-6p Eastern time)

The Day In The Life of A Scheduling Patient Coordinator:

  • You are the first point of contact with patients, medical providers and patient representatives who are seeking assistance over the phone. This position performs patient appointment scheduling and telephone encounter documentation.
  • The Patient Coordinator builds that immediate trust, provides compassion, and empathy while navigating an EMR system.
  • Diverse types of calls received range from specialties: family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, dental, etc.

Pay & Other Things to Consider:

$15 Hour: Base pay is $15.00 per hour plus $1 an hour premium for bilingual Spanish-speaking coordinators.

$1 Shift Premium available Mon-Fri beginning at 3pm EST.


Job Requirements

Employment is contingent upon receipt of acceptable reference checks, background check and drug screen. TeamHealth participates in E-Verify of all references.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience desired.
  • 1 year of Medical Office Scheduling experience is highly desired
  • 1+ years of customer service experience. This includes Call Center / Medical Office / Clinic, front desk, medical receptionist or first point of contact in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information by patient
  • Ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm and pass an assimilation listening test and computer navigation assessment.
  • Ability to defuse conversations and escalate if necessary
  • Professional, courteous telephone voice
  • Ability to handle confidential information; HIPAA experience is a plus.
  • Detail Oriented – Accurately process and record information ensuring data integrity
  • Ability to follow scripted information while interacting with patients and a willingness to escalate situations as appropriate
