Job Purpose:

As the Country HR leader, this position is responsible for managing the HR function for our commercial & shared services organizations. This position will lead employee relations, HR programs, recruitment, payroll, policies and procedures, and performance management to ensure that Tech Data fosters a productive, inclusive, and engaged workforce. As a member of the APJ HR leadership team, the country HR leader will actively participate in regional programs and initiatives, leading them where appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Fully responsible and accountable for local HR policies, practices, strategies & programs
  • Member of the country management team in addition to managing the local HR team
  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to execute enterprise-wide programs and solutions that meet business needs
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; Identifies innovative HR solutions
  • Works in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development.
  • Partners with leaders in all areas of HR, including Leadership & Organizational Development, Compensation, Employee Relations, Diversity & Inclusion, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, etc., to drive various initiatives throughout the organization
  • Work closely with HR colleagues across the business to define, monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Supports and develops effective recruitment and selection campaigns.
  • Drives organizational performance by enabling core business objectives, in particular employee engagement.
  • Responsible for developing & implementing HR Projects as appropriate
  • Promotes the values of TD through participation in organizational initiatives and by taking actions wherever possible to support corporate initiatives

Knowledge Skills and Experience:
  • 10 years of relevant HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; PHR qualifications preferred
  • Articulate, confident and fluent communicator and will demonstrate a high level of oral and written English and local language(s).
  • Advanced IT skills (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Internet).
  • Sound knowledge of HR practices
  • Proven experience in a variety of Human Resource competencies
  • Demonstrated awareness of HR best practice
  • High level knowledge of employment legislation
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with individuals, and groups
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills
