Job Title: Senior Vulnerability Analyst
Work Location
· Washington, DC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management, including tool configuration, deployment, and policy development.
· Strong knowledge of Government best practices related to vulnerability management.
· Demonstrated experience collaborating with system owners to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
· Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools and techniques.
· Familiarity with security standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC are preferred.
Responsibilities:
1. Configure, deploy, and maintain vulnerability management tools to identify and track vulnerabilities across the organization.
2. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to vulnerability management based on Government best practices.
3. Collaborate with system owners to identify vulnerabilities and define remediation plans.
4. Work with IT and security teams to ensure that vulnerabilities are properly analyzed, prioritized, and remediated.
5. Track progress towards vulnerability remediation and report on status to senior management.
6. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on systems and networks to identify potential security weaknesses.
7. Develop and deliver vulnerability management training to system owners and IT staff.
8. Provide expert advice and guidance on vulnerability management best practices.
