SHIPPING:

• Overall responsible and In-charge of Import, Export, Logistics, and local custom formalities
• Adhere to the timelines and ensure the renewal of all sorts of CUSTOM and MITI licences for import and export in place. Facilitate with CUSTOM for container inspection and sealing process daily.
• Ensure the error free reports to CUSTOM and MITI and any other body of government pertains to Shipping and Logistics operation have been delivered on time.
• Ensure the containers booking, pallet booking and its movement for export / transport arrangement for local is made on time with affordable/ costed freight.
• Coordinate import raw material and spare parts from various countries.
• Create error free shipping documents and manage all sort of shipping documentation and provide whenever is required by customer, inter-department, top management, government etc.
• Ensure the Bill of Lading is managed properly in terms of holding and release. Make sure the freight bills have been cleared to finance for payment and speedy release of telex for BL.
• Co-ordination with Costing to facilitate the best possible shipping cost and terms to prepare the quotation against the enquiry/ tender process.
• Ensure the freight and courier bills have been verified in terms of its accuracy and facilitate with clean bills to Finance for payment process.

LOGISTICS:

• Ensure all containers are loaded on time with 100% accuracy and make sure that there is no demurrage, detention, SSR and any other extra-ordinary cost has been incurred.
• End-to-end control over receiving the finished goods from Bag Making till loading the goods into containers and delivery. The related transactions posting in SAP system, reconciliation of FG movement (between physical and SAP) and corresponding report deliverables on FG should be in place at any point of time to review by the top management.
• Sensitize the top management on the slow/ non-moving Finished goods. Monthly reports to commercial people on the slow/ non-moving items should be in place and reports to top-management to clear those items appropriately.
• Ensure the physical stocks are taken concurrently and reconciled properly with SAP system. Co-ordination with finance in case of discrepancies identified.

GENERAL:

• Review the existing process and continuous improvement on strengthening the department function, value addition and cost reduction.
• Manage the team and ensure the day-to-day operation is smooth and deliverables is on time.
• Respond to and resolve complaints and problems on shipping and logistics activities.
