Position Objective:

As Solution Architect (SA), you will be responsible and accountable for bridging the gap between business problems and technology solutions. Finding the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems. Describing the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders. Defining features, phases, and solution requirements. Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.

You will be involved and provide the detail and end-to-end solution design for Business case, Project, Change Request (CR), Operation fixes and Strategic Fixes to ensure solution designs are addressing and aligned with business or technical user requirements. In providing architecture assurance that is aligned with the target blueprint architecture, roadmap and standards. What you produce will be used as a reference for development and operational team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Lead and translates business requirement into technical requirement to ensure accuracy and quality of solution are covered on all aspects of the business and technical requirements.

· Owning the ARB process and leading the team to produce the required architectural and solution design diagrams to address business case approval and end-to-end development requirement which align to high level design requirement in related TBP and ADR section for development and testing reference.

· Provide high level solution design (HLD) to address end-to-end technical requirement which align to business requirement with high level information in the related TBP section for further development of low-level design (LLD) reference by development team.

· Present TBP at ARB Forum for architecture approval to ensure alignment with IT strategy, roadmap, standards and investment.

· Prepare and present the ADR at ARB Forum for change request to ensure that existing services and products will not be interrupted by new solution.

· Identify, present and demonstrate innovation and emerging information technology systems and applications to Technology Council and Community.

· Lead and plan solution design readiness based on business stream and urgency of the requirement towards business prioritization and delivery timeline.

· Review, Analyze and Endorse technical document i.e. Impact Analysis, Functional Design and Interface Agreement to ensure that all stakeholder agree and proceed with configuration and development.

· Review, interpret, analyse and respond to detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between business user expectations and current technology environment

· Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment.

· Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives.

· Work collaboratively to contribute to achieving multiple team’s business outcomes.

· Participate in meetings to obtain the work group perspective and share information. Resolve and provide solutions to issues and develop the necessary technical designs and artefacts.

Job Requirements

· Manager/Senior Manager

· >5 years working experience in web and/or app development areas; preferable in insurance, design, user experience, digital, IOT and computing fields.

· Good communication skills, must be able to multi-task within a complex environment with strong interpersonal skills.

· Proven ability to communicate well at all levels within the organisation, group office, affiliates and vendors; in particular with IT and business users.

· Possess good Leadership and Teamwork character as successful projects are realized through appropriate management of people/team.

· Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.

· A good and convincing presenter.

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, or other related degree.

· > 10 years’ professional experience within web, app or technical product management.

· Well versed with the latest innovation in digital and able to transition a vision or an idea into reality within current limitations. Must be able to work hands-on.

· Understanding of the product management lifecycle and of web/application best practices.

· Able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

· Understanding of a variety of methodologies from Agile to Waterfall, and of common software development practices.

· Strong technical knowledge and know-how around the following:

Ø Strong Java based skill. Spring boot, J2EE, OOAD etc.

Ø Strong database skill. Such as Sqlserver or Sybase

Ø Cloud services and governance (Azure is preferred)

Ø Middleware technologies, API Governance

Ø Have full stack development knowledge and can design the application architecture independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: RM13,000.00 - RM21,000.00 per month
