At Strive Physical Therapy & Wellness, we provide Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy, Nutrition support, in addition to classes and memberships to support the wellness of the community. Current group Wellness offerings include MS strengthening, Parkinson’s Strengthening, and Yoga.
Therapists at Strive specialize in treating adults with complex Neurological impairments which require specialized equipment and modalities, such as the Myro (https://tyromotion.com/en/products/myro/). We offer a truly unique environment, focusing on holistic, patient-centered care. As a clinician, you are able to become part of the interdisciplinary team, providing the highest quality care for each of your patients.
Strive is currently looking for a patient-focused Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This is a flexible position that can start as a consistent per-diem or part-time position and grow to full time. We offer Clinical Fellowship mentorship if needed. SLP position is sign-on bonus eligible (amount to depend on hours worked during 6-month period)!
Responsibilities Include:
- Complete evaluations in the areas of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing
- Provide treatment utilizing evidence based interventions
- Document evaluations and treatment sessions
- Effectively communicate treatment plan and strategies with patients and caregivers
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes
Desired Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech pathology
- Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
- Familiarity with common evaluation tools/scales
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge treatment best practice and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Must have SLP License in California or be eligible for a temporary license (RPE)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC) or eligible for Clinical Fellowship
