Do you want to be part of an exciting challenge to support enterprise applications state-wide? We are seeking a technically-skilled individual with a passion to learn and solve problems to join our enterprise team as a Splunk Systems Administrator.

You will be part of a responsive team accountable for administrating Windows and Linux servers supporting a variety of State Agency customers, platforms, and applications across the Enterprise—relying heavily on using Splunk for data analytics. Strong interpersonal and technical skills are a must for this position. While specific experience with Linux and Splunk is desirable, we can provide training to bring an eager, outgoing individual with strong technical skills up-to-speed given the right organizational fit.

What are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

Level 1:

• Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field and
• 2 years’ experience developing IT professional experience
• Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Level 2:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field and
• 3 years’ experience developing IT professional experience
• Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

**Additionally, it would peak our interest if you have experience working with Linux or Splunk.

Competencies:

Knowledge of:

• Window and Linux Server Administration
• The theory and practices of administering industry standard COTS solutions
• Computer Networking
• Splunk
• Cloud or SaaS technologies

Ability to:

• Provide excellent customer service;
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
• Adapt to shifting business requirements;
• Explain technical issues to non-technical people;
• Work with minimal supervision, and be a self-starter;
• Develop innovative solutions to problems;
• Implement and master new technologies.
