Pratt & Whitney Commercial Support Equipment (an organization within Aftermarket Operations Engineering) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with primary responsibility for PW1500G / PW1900G aftermarket tool planning and grind tool support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Project Management services for the design and manufacture of Assembly and Disassembly tools as well as Machine in Case Grind tools, where applicable.

  • Interface with the Process and Methods Engineering team, the tool designers in Development Operations and Aftermarket Services to ensure tools meet requirements for Aftermarket applications.
  • Provide troubleshooting services for technical issues with equipment during manufacture and while in the field.
  • Provide overall technical customer support for both internal and external Customers, Customer Service Representatives and MRO shops.
  • Answer Eagle Net cases
  • Review and approve the release of technical communications, Supplier Engineering Changes & Tool Bulletins
  • Utilize process improvement skills in the execution to day-to-day operations.
  • This position will require approximately 10% travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering with 5+ years prior relevant work experience or an Advanced Degree and 3+ years of prior relevant work experience or a High School Diploma and 15+ years of prior relevant work experience.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Knowledge of engine hardware in addition to knowledge of systems, design and integration of component performance with the core power plant.
  • Direct knowledge and experience dealing with commercial airline customers.
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge and experience
  • Excellent judgment and professional maturity
  • The ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communication.
