Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the financial reporting process, producing accurate and timely financial statements.
- Play an integral role in the month-end and year-end close process by maintaining spreadsheets, performing account reconciliations, and posting journal entries.
- Analyze, review, and reconcile large volumes of data.
- Prepare detailed notes to the financials each month.
- Investigate and correct any discrepancies.
- Be proactive and continuously look for ways of improving.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Great Plains, a plus
