Job description
Busy practice seeking an EXPERIENCED SURGERY SCHEDULER to join their growing team and work with a well-established orthopedic spine surgeon. This position will include the following tasks:
- Obtaining Precertification/Prior Authorization for Surgery Cases
- Obtaining/Coordinating Clearances for Surgery
- Managing Surgery Related Specialist Referrals
- Scheduling Surgery Cases and PAT with Patients and Hospital Facilities
- Daily Management of Patient Phone Calls, Medication Refills, Pain Complaints and Post-Operative Patient Check-In Calls
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years working as a surgery scheduler, preferably in orthopedic or neurosurgical spine.
- Professional appearance
- Exemplary customer service and patient interaction skills
- Able to multi-task and work independently with confidence
- Knowledgeable of OSHA and HIPAA policies and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
