The Technical Support Analyst supports data entry, tracking, and reporting for Early/Head Start Subrecipients, and directly operated programs through effective use of the Early/Head Start databases and spreadsheets.
The Technical Support Analyst will empower the grantee by supporting the data entry and analysis process to create fact-based culture for decision making. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and a passion for data and a desire to understand the whys behind the numbers.
Reporting to the Early/Head Start Subrecipients, you will:
- Develops expertise and applies all Head Start /Early Head Start program software systems with accuracy and assures timely completion of data entry for all required program elements.
- Enter a variety of subrecipient program related data in program software systems.
- Analyze data entry and make recommendations to subrecipients
- In collaboration with the GSS (Grantee Support Services) team, report program analysis information to program staff.
- Adapt database record keeping systems as requested by GSS team.
- Develop guides for data entry and reporting with the assistance of GSS staff.
- Act as a liaison between GSS team and staff.
- Communicate record keeping systems to GSS team and staff.
- Provide technical assistance for data entry to ensure accurate Head Start reporting.
- Supervise data entry according to data entry mentorship. Provide reports and correction strategies to staff and their supervisors.
- Work with agencies to correct agency data entry information as needed in collaboration with the GSS team.
- Assist in set-up and configuration of the Head start database to meet changing requirements of Head Start, Start Early, delegates and partners.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Associated Degree preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience with database and program reporting responsibilities and demonstrated ability working in Head Start programs
- Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood programs and practices.
- Must have excellent computer skills with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing programs, web conferencing software, and SharePoint.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and able to analyze information.
- Ability to handle duties in a self-directed manner.
- Ability to handle change and adapt to new requirements.
- Ability to work as a harmonious, encouraging team member.
- Ability to deliver training and technical assistance to diverse professionals within Start Early and with external delegates and partners.
- Valid Driver’s License and full-time use of reliable transportation.
- Deep commitment to and experience in advancing diversity, racial equity, and introduction into organizational routines and practice.
- Effectively establish and maintain effective relationships with funders and partners and gain their trust and respect.
- Comfort and experience in handling risk and uncertainty to move work forward.
Salary: $58,000-$62,000
