Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Telemetry Tech/Ward Clerk in the ICU/TCU Department.
Under the supervision of the nursing department, this position performs as a receptionist, ward clerk, and to a lesser extent TCU/ICU Tech. Is accountable as the focal communication source in the TCU/ICU units through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, physicians, and other departments. Responsibilities include all aspects of clerical duties, and the monitoring of the telemetry patients and rhythm interpretation. Adhering to all standards of nursing care and promoting teamwork among co-workers.
STATUS: Per Diem, Rotating Shift
SKILLS:
- Cardiac monitoring - recommended
- Perform V/S
- Clerical duties
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED Certificate
- Attend dysrhythmia class with a score of 85% or greater. 100% rhythm strip interpretation.
- CNA program or minimum one year experience as a nursing assistant or EMT training
- Experience as ward clerk or on the job training with proficiency expected in 3 months.
