Equinox RTC is a Residential Treatment Center for middle and high school aged boys who have experienced relational and/or attachment trauma. We emphasize trauma informed healing in a small, nurturing environment on a summer camp type campus located just outside of Asheville, NC. We are a relationship based, character focused and experientially applied treatment center for young men with a variety diagnoses.

As a therapist at Equinox, you will impact the lives of our clients by building relationships through meaningful connection, shared experiences, and acting as a role model. You will facilitate therapeutic treatment plans for our clients and provide group therapy to support their healing process. You will be a part of supporting positive change in family systems by conducting weekly family therapy. At Equinox we encourage clinical and personal growth by offering training in NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), which is the foundation of our clinical approach.

Primary Therapists carry a caseload of seven clients and provide three hours of individual and family therapy [combined] to their clients and families per week. Therapists also facilitate two groups therapy sessions per week and attend weekly clinical and treatment team meetings. Therapists are encouraged to participate in experiential and recreational activities with their clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or similar field required.
• Current licensure as LCSW, LMFT or CMHC in the State of NC preferred; willing to consider recent graduates based on experience.
• Familiarity or training with the NARM modality is a plus
• Family therapy experience
• Experience working with adolescent males (preferred, but not required)
• Experience in wilderness or RTC (preferred, but not required)
• Customer service oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Willing to work occasional weekends and holidays
• Strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license
• Dedicated team player
• Some travel required for conferences and marketing opportunities
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Salary:

· Starting at $65,000 annually (depending on experience, education, and licensure)

· Up to $5,000 hiring bonus

· Relocation assistance available with annual employment agreement
