Job Overview We are looking to hire a talented Youth Fitness Activities Coordinator (YFAC) to join our growing team. YFAC position at UFC GYM is designed to promote an active lifestyle for youth members 5-7 yrs and 8-10 yrs old. On a typical day, the YFAC will oversee 1 to 3, 3-hour class sessions, of activities which include fitness, arts & craft, games, etc. The YFAC is responsible for daily admission of the members to the fitness center, pre and post session preparations, and delivering instruction and class management per company guidelines. Activities are indoor and within the parameters of the gym. A typical class will have around 10-16 students. An occasional ‘field trip’ may periodically be scheduled within the Park City Center mall where the gym is located. The sessions will run from June to the end of August. As a YFAC your classes should be fun, motivating and engaging. You’ll get creative and build a program for different ages of students. You’ll teach them how to stretch, move, lift and recover! You will be helping to raise a future generation of healthy and active children. You’ll be a core part of our athletics program and you’ll help build the fitness program with our team.

Compensation: $12.00-$15.00/hr. based on experience and credentials. Full-time & Part-time opportunities available.
Daily shift options range from 3hrs to 9 hrs per day. Responsibilities for Youth Fitness Activities Coordinator-· Ensure a group of assigned students is supervised and safe· Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques· Prepare and lead a variety of activities that are age-appropriate· Model good behavior for students as it relates to sportsmanship, manners, and respectfulness· Identify teachable moments and capitalize on them· Perform all responsibilities in a manner that guarantees the safety of students· Facilitate and encourage participation in the gym fitness activities· Interact with parents in a professional and polite mannerQualifications for the YFAC-· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required· 1 year of experience supervising and working with children, preferably as a camp counselor or teacher· Certification in CPR and AED preferred· Ability to pass a background check· General mobility including, but not limited, to walking, kneeling, and standing· Proven ability to maintain a safe environment for others in adherence with provided protocol and standards· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and lead activities for large groups of children · Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
