Job Purpose and ImpactThe Accounting and Reporting Senior Analyst will build and maintain our accounting policies and fiscal controls by using broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices. You will prepare/review financial and risk reports and take appropriate actions to safeguard our organization's assets. In this role, you will be conducting complex accounting activities across a region, business or multi-site group, building accurate financial documents, conducting analysis and managing and maintaining risk following established compliance requirements and policies. Key Accountabilities
Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to classify and record financial transactions and prepare/review financial reports and provide technical advisory to the business/function stakeholders.
Responsible for MY consolidation of group accounts, KPMG audit, group statutory reporting & tax return, allocation of costs for corporate functions, recharges & transfer pricing compliance, MY treasury related matters, monthly & quarterly closing of accounts for CFR team (Corporate Functions) etc.
Work closely and liaise with Cargill Business Service center (e.g.: CTC, ITP & RTR), external auditor, tax agent and consultant, company secretary, bankers, SG treasury and APAC business stakeholder leader etc. for related matters.
This position may expand its accountabilities to support the business enterprise in Malaysia in the future.
Prepare/review and distribute accurate and timely position reports for commodity, foreign exchange, and/or counterparty risks to multiple partners, which could include trading, commercial, business leadership, Cargill Risk Committee and/or external regulators.
Partner with the Controls and Process Improvement Accounting and Finance domains to craft and implement controlled processes.
Assess and communicate information regarding business risks with functions across the organization.
Identify and implement process simplification, standardization and automatization of financial and risk reporting to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Confirmed ability to identify and assess risk.
Ability to communicate, influence and build trust with partners at multiple levels in the organization.
Sophisticated financial analysis skills
Minimum of five years of related work experience

Ability to work in a global, matrixed company.
Experience participating in moderately complex accounting activities across a country or multisite.
Strong accounting & reporting skills and competencies.
Candidate with working experience in big four firm/audit firm are encouraged to apply.
Experience in commodity position risk and commodity trading within a processing business will be added advantage.
