Job Summary:

Sunik is seeking an Accounting Clerk III in Fort Carson, CO.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing invoices and statements verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated, and if questionable, resolving with the submitting unit determining accounts involved. The review will include coding transactions, and processing material through data processing for application in the accounting system.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of computer printouts with operating unit reports (contacting units, researching causes of discrepancies, and taking action to ensure that accounts balance).
  • Supervisor provides suggestions for handling unusual or non-recurring transactions. Conformance with requirements and technical soundness of completed work are reviewed by the supervisor or are controlled by mechanisms built into the accounting processes.
  • Responsible for government accounting, maintenance, and cost record functions to include the accountability, procurement, and disposition of all GSA Interagency Fleet Management Services (IFMS) SF-149, Credit Cards and maintenance program. Assures the maximum readiness capability of administrative use vehicles to perform designated functions efficiently and safely.
  • Coordinates administrative issues with the General Services Administration (GSA) Denver Fleet Management Center.
  • Responsible for the preparation and on time submission of all required reports. Command vehicle lists for all assigned vehicles, monthly mileage costs, monthly 4ID bus costs and additional reports/OPORDS requested by the government.
  • Ensures SF-91 is filled out completely. Posts and files all receipts for accident maintenance repair actions.
  • Receives, reviews, and prepares monthly GSA Bill and forwards to the TMP Supervisor, MTO and Garrison Resource management (GRM).
  • Updates, verifies, and posts all vehicle hand receipts, justification memorandums. Tracks, monitors, and orders credit cards for General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles as well as ordering of VIL keys for fleet vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of automated data systems. Requires a thorough knowledge of an office's work and routine. Must be able to choose among widely varying methods and procedures to process complex transactions.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience in accounting environment, with some knowledge of military operations and schedules. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer equipment, various software programs, copier, fax, calculator, 10-key.

Pay and Benfits:

  • $19.34 per hour, plus applicable Health & Welfare fringe dollars as defined under the DOL's Wage Determination.
