Job description

The Administrative Assistant is required to generally answering phones, taking memos and maintaining files. Administrative assistants may also be in charge of sending and receiving correspondence, as well as greeting clients and customers

You are required to provide good management which consists of all these criteria:

1. Support office administration for the Public Relations Office

2. Assist in fundraising activities

3. Provide support in preparing requisitions, appeals materials and gathering of quality information for the preparation of reports, appeals and publicity materials

4. Processing donations and issuing receipts

5. Handle reception duties such as responding to public and donor enquiries via phone and email

6. General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing

7. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system

8. Handle requests for information and data

9. Resolve administrative problems and inquiries

10. Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors

11. Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules

12. Prepare reports on a timely basis

13. Assist in banking and post office runs

14. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence

15. Maintain office supply inventories

16. Coordinate maintenance of office equipment

17. Carry out any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time



Requirements

  • Well versed in computerized accounting systems (Oracle)
  • With Business/Accounting background.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is also required
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm)
  • Saturdays/Sundays (whenever necessary)

  • The Salvation Army- Malaysia Regional Headquarters
    No.26, Jalan Puteri 4/2, Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia

Requirements
