Job description
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Responds to telephonic inquiries from individuals seeking HHSC services and individuals receiving CCSE services, legislators, stakeholders, and other interested parties. 10%
Manages designated electronic files, i.e. maintains online files of communications sent to division staff statewide. 15%
Facilitates written and verbal communication to and from the CCSE Office with all levels of staff within the agency and external entities including other state and federal governmental agencies, individuals, stakeholders, and advocacy groups. 15%
Composes, prepares, and proofreads correspondence, forms, reports, presentations, or other documents (for example, letters, memos, travel or purchase vouchers, job announcements) using a personal computer. 15%
Coordinates and tracks assignments on an intermediate level for CCSE Office managers and coordinates all activities for the CCSE Director. 15%
Establishes controls and priorities, analyzes intermediate problems, and resolves or escalates issues/problems as appropriate. 10%
Performs coordination and liaison functions for a wide range of issues and activities. 10%
Researches and prepares a broad variety of reports, correspondence, presentations, and other documents related to programs administered by HHSC. 10%
Knowledge of generally accepted office procedures.

At least two years’ experience in administrative procedures.
At least two years’ experience composing, producing, and proofreading documents.
At least two years’ experience working with personal computers composing emails, developing spreadsheets, and Word documents.
Preferred:
Experience with HHSC travel policy and procedure.
This position can be housed in Austin or Waco, and may be eligible for telework.
