Anticipated High School Activities Administrative Assistant
Job description
Anamosa High School is looking for an activities administrative assistant starting in the 2023-24 school year.
The activities administrative assistant reports to the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of athletics and co-curricular activities (band, choir, speech, drama, etc.) in addition to general office duties such as answer phones and assisting parents, teachers, community members. Some areas of responsibilities specific to the activities administrative assistant are:
- all scheduling logistics. Examples include: secure officials; secure volunteers to assist with events; create and update rosters; keep calendars updated.
- all financial components. Examples include: preparing money boxes for events; monitoring all monies coming in via fundraisers, events, clothing orders, etc.; depositing money in a timely manner; and submitting purchase orders.
- communication and recognition.
Examples include: preparing certificates for end of season banquets; obtaining and preparing information for senior night recognitions; maintaining communication with coaches/advisors. In addition to these responsibilities, the activities administrative assistant needs to be able to proficiently use Google products (docs, forms, sheets, etc), Quicken, SignUp Genius, and other technologies.
