Job Description: Eastern Peak Restaurant Group Assistant Manager-Bellevue Location
Position Overview:
The Eastern Peak Restaurant Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing the operations of our restaurant locations. This position requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of restaurant operations, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The Assistant Manager will directly report to the General Manager and work collaboratively to ensure smooth operations and maintain the highest standards of quality.
Essential Job Functions:
Operations Management:
- Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Help develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow and maintain high-quality service.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the restaurant.
Food and Beverage:
- Support the General Manager in ensuring the highest quality of food and beverages through monitoring production processes, ingredients, and presentation.
- Collaborate with FOH and BOH staff on all menu updates, customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal availability.
- Assist in monitoring food and beverage costs and implementing cost-control measures.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in managing the inventory system, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to conduct regular inventory audits, minimize waste, prevent stockouts, and optimize inventory turnover.
- Contribute to analyzing sales trends and seasonality to adjust par levels effectively.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering a welcoming and memorable dining experience for guests.
- Assist in addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Support the General Manager in training and coaching staff to provide outstanding customer service.
FOH and BOH Procedures:
- Implement and enforce FOH and BOH procedures in collaboration with the General Manager.
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless operations and timely order delivery.
- Participate in regular meetings to communicate updates, gather feedback, and address operational issues.
Staffing and Training:
- Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training restaurant staff.
- Help foster a positive work environment and team spirit.
- Support the General Manager in conducting performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and implementing training programs.
Reporting and Support:
- Provide regular reports to the General Manager on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, labor costs, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational performance.
- Support the General Manager in day-to-day administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including FOH and BOH procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies.
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
-Required weekly hours = 42-45 hours per week
*2 Personal, 3 Sick days (eligible after 90 days employment)
*1-week paid vacation after 1 year employment
*2 weeks paid vacations after 5 years of employment
