Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Medical Assistant makes a difference in people’s lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician.
Job Functions
- Prepares exam room, equipment and supplies needed prior/during patient examination
- Prepares patient for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs (temp, BP, HR, RR) etc.
- Draws blood, collects specimens, and administers injections
- Schedule appointments for patients
- Proficient in EMR process
Required Qualifications
- Must be bilingual English and Spanish
- 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
- An active RMA or CMA certification from one of the following organizations: NHA, AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, ARMA, AAH or MedCA
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with HEDIS
- Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Experience with HEDIS

Interview Format: MODERN HIRE

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
Please Note
Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
If progressed to offer, candidates will be required to:
- Provide proof of full vaccination, including booster OR
- Provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation
