POSITION SUMMARY:
The program Manager is charged with the overall organization of a Maryville multi-staff two or more residential homes(shelters). Ensures that youth receive quality services in a safe and nurturing environment. Ensures the consistent implementation and application of residential trauma-informed care and supports family reunification processes. Engages primarily in the performance of managerial duties. Supervises residential coordinators as well as youth care workers. The program Manager is a grant position funded by the Office or Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and any successor funding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plans and maanges program to provide for the residential care of youth
- Develops and implements organizational procedures to ensure a daily routine in the program: staff/home schedules, logistics and transportation, logs and other organizational tools
- Coordinates with the care team to advance implementation of case management acativities, records documentation, classroom activities and youth treatment plans
- Provides feedback to staff on their implementation of Maryville policies and procedures and maintains professional standards in regular written and informal consultation
- Reviews documentation and administrative forms for accuracy and effectiveness, including shift logs, daily case entry logs, significant incident reports, visitation logs, sign in/out log, leisure, recreation, and worship logs, medical records, and other documentation required by ORR, as per ORR policy.
- Oversees a safe environment with zero tolerance of sexual abuse in the shelters
- Oversees the implementation of weekly community meetings of the youth in the home
- Oversees the purchasing of clothing, food, and other items necessary for youth/children
- Conducts and oversees daily perimeter checks in the homes
- Ensures the security of each youth by monitoring that youths activities in the community, and his/her safety as per compliance with group home expectations
- Provides insights on youths adaptation to the group home environment in multidisciplinary Treatment Team meetings
- Oversees van safety, including van safety for toodlers and infants and maintance
- Monitorts staff compliance with policies and completes annual performance evaluations
- Participates in continues performance quality improvement
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in human service related field from an accredited college or university requires, plus two years of residential child care experience
- Minimum of one year of experience appropriate to population being served
- Minimum 25 years of age
Skills/ Knowledge
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Bilingual English/Spanish language competency required
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing with Maryville youth, supervisors, cowrokers, subordinates, support agencies, and a varity of internal as well as external consumers
- Ability to analytically problem solve a variety of situations
- Ability to cope with crisis situations in calm, effective manner

Physical Demands
- Required to frequently sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk, sometimes for extended periods, able to walk up and down stairs
- Required to lift/move objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds
- Must have visual,hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above
Environment and Scheduling
- Duties involve contact with youth who may be traumatized
- Must be flexible in training and scheduling and available to work additional hours, evenings and weekend shifts when necessary
- Will perform work in and in association with Maruville program settings

Employees who violate the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination.
