Our Spokane location, Rolled Steel Products Structural Systems (RSPSS), specializes in full-service design and production of steel framed self-storage solutions. We are looking for an entry level CAD designer to aid in plan production of self-storage buildings. This position will work with senior CAD staff as well as in house engineers and project managers to produce fabrication ready plan sets. The ideal candidate will have an associates degree or equivalent in CAD drafting as well as experience in the building construction industry. Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment are essential.

Essential Duties:

• Aid senior staff in creation of fabrication and construction ready drawing sets using AutoCAD and in-house programs
• Assist senior CAD staff with preparation and updating of drawing sets using red-lines from engineers, project managers and the sales team
• Identify and tabulate required materials from completed drawing sets for project fabrication
• Maintain existing and develop new procedures and details for standardized methods of implementation
• Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the revision process
• Maintain document organization using company standards
• Perform other duties as required
• Bring a positive attitude with an understanding of the value of teamwork and outstanding customer service

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other Federal, State and local standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent in CAD drafting required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Revit experience preferred
• Great analytical skills and detail oriented
• Strong math skills including trigonometry
• Experience in the building construction industry preferred
• Competency in the use of Excel, Word, and other software applications
• Critical thinking skills and ability to perform self-directed work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
