Position Summary:
The Clinical Operations Manager is a healthcare professional and oversees the daily activities of the clinical staff. This individual is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures, execution of processes, and staffing to create a comfortable and safe environment for patients. They are also responsible for organizing and maintaining all clinical supplies. The Clinical Site Manager is part of the OSNC Management Team.
Major Position Responsibilities:
The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. - Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.score:

- Maintains adequate staffing
- Seeks out qualified MA’s to fill vacant positions
- Follows through with the Organization’s hiring process and handles Performance Improvement if needed
- Assures that all MA’s follow the processes outlined in the Clinical Policy and Procedure Manual as well as the Employee Handbook
- Sees that all Physician’s orders are executed at the highest level of competence
- Offers education and training to the MA’s in regards to their daily functions
- Manages the flow of patients through the clinic in a timely fashion
- Works together with the scheduling department to maintain a steady flow of patients
- Ensures proper use of IT systems for practice management and electronic records
- Administers schedule performance reviews with the MA’s as they are due.

- Orthopedic Technicians: All duties as indicated as above for MA’s as applied to Orthopedic Technologists and:
- Maintains adequate staffing
- Seeks out qualified OT’s to fill vacant positions
- Follows through with the Organization’s hiring process and handles termination procedures in needed
- Assures that all OT’s follow the processes outlined in the Cast Room Policy and Procedure Manual as well as the OSNC employee Handbook
- Sees that all Physicians’ orders are executed at the highest level of competence
- Offers education and training to the OT’s in regards to casting/splinting techniques, DME fitting and patient education
- Manages the flow of patients through the cast room in a timely fashion
- Works together with the scheduling department to maintain a steady flow of patients
- Ensures proper billing for all items dispensed out of the cast room as outlined by the DME Billing Policy and Procedure
- Ensures proper use of the IT systems for practice management and electronic records
- Administers scheduled performance reviews with the OT’s as they are due
- Maintains adequate staffing
- Clinical Supply
- Oversees all ordering of clinical supplies and DME
- Sets par levels for inventory and works within budget to maintain adequate stock
- Orders supplies according to the guidelines outlined by the DME and Supply Ordering Policy and Procedure
- Oversees the checking in process of supplies and makes sure that the guidelines outlined in the DME and Supply Ordering Policy and Procedure are followed
- Clinical Operations
- Oversee all patient administrative activity, including, but not limited to:
- Scheduling/Reception
- Check in/Check out
- Call Center
- Medical Records
- Surgery Scheduling
- Worker’s Compensation Coordination
- Infrastructure including: Electronic Health Record, Patient Portal, All secure network programs
- Transcription services/scribes
- Oversee all patient administrative activity, including, but not limited to:
- Principal Standards of Performance
- Adheres to current revenue generating processes and continue to think creatively to create more
- Offers insight, education and training to the Staff that can enhance their performance and allow them to provide the highest quality of patient care
- Develops ideas and professional attitude that promotes responsibility, both individually and as a health care team
- Coordinates a team effort to provide the highest quality of patient care
- Works together with the Management Team to strive to accomplish the goals and projects envisioned by Physicians
- Educates the general public regarding Staff positions and what his/her specific duties on the health care team entail
- Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of Management experience in a medical clinic.
- Electronic Health Records experience, required.
- MS Office proficiency, preferred.
- Supervisory experience, required: Hiring, performance reviews, and corrective action.
- Is able to create, implement and modify policies and procedures.
- Able to supervise, train and educate staff.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate comfortably with Physicians, Management and Staff.
- Is familiar with the concepts, practices and procedures of the clinic’s other departments.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Able to perform a variety of clinical tasks.
- Shows a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Experience in creating and managing a budget, preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s, at least 5 years of leadership experience (Supervisory and Management) in a medical clinic, Orthopedic Clinic preferred.
Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience.
