Job Description

Goodwill Industries of St. Clair County is hiring part-time Clothing Processor for our Fort Gratiot location. We are looking for dependable associates who possess effective and professional communication skills in dealings with customers, supervisors, and co-workers. Must be able to stand for 6-7 hour shifts, like working in fast paced environments and a knowledge of clothing/fashion would be a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and proven record of attendance
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Physical Expectations

• Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift, reach, push and pull
• Ability to perform repetitive hand motions

Responsibilities

• Sort through cloithing donations to stock our Retail Store
• Receiving, sorting, handling, pricing and selling donations
• Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Awareness of daily processing quotas
• Maintain and operate clothing tagging equipment properly and accurately
• Comply with inventory control procedures
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Maintain a clean and operable work environment
• Remain knowledgeable of and promote Goodwill's Mission
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines

Skills

• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Basic Math skills
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction
• Availability to work flexible shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.50 - $11.00 per hour
