Essential Duties, Customer Service Representative:

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations has an opening for a Customer Service Representative at one of its material handling locations in Richmond, VA. This individual will be responsible for achieving parts and service department business objectives through profitable revenue generation by conducting business to business sales calls, quoting and selling: parts, preventative maintenance, warehouse products and will also provide customer forklift training.

Responsibilities:

  • This individual will manage a sales territory and a majority of time spent will be in the field conducting business to business sales calls
  • Territory development with a focus on new customer acquisition and retention
  • Collaborate with the sales department to generate equipment sales and rental leads

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and selling skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proficient with computer programs - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees while conducting training
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Self-motivated and driven for success
  • Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
