Job Summary
Develop, implement and maintain the optimum International Program solution for each assigned customer, working only on the most complex and/or multi line propositions, to deliver excellent service to customers and ensure profitable business outcomes.
Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

  • Design and articulate program structure and negotiate service deliverables with the customer, broker and nominated International Program service team handler.
  • Work cross class with Underwriter’s.
  • Ensure the successful coordination of key Company, broker and customer stakeholders.
  • Establish and co-ordinate an account team to understand, service and deal with all requirements and appoint necessary International specialist resources through working with the International team managers.
  • Design and manage an operational action plan and confirm expectations, timelines and delivery dates.
  • Assist the Underwriting with the coordination of terms and production of the pricing overviews.
  • Oversee the production of all proposals.
  • Prepare and deliver International Program proposition presentations to broker/customers.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate communication of network instructions.
  • Provide reporting on International Programs.
  • Manage cessions and money flows.
  • Monitor the issuance of policies throughout the International Program network.
  • Ensure all contractual agreements are in place, including policies, Risk Improvements agreements, collateral and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance of program with Contract Certainty and Multinational Insurance Application.
  • Resolve day- to- day account management issues.
  • Carry out account performance monitoring, and participate in service review meetings.
  • Escalate potential issues to the relevant stakeholders where this will impact the customer.
  • Lead or participate in LEAN Kaizen events or Problem Solving Z activities for continuous improvements of the service delivery.

Business Accountabilities

  • Translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs or schedules in order to support delivery of International Program solutions.
  • Lead allocated projects and monitor and control allocated human and material resources assigned to project work, maintaining financial and progress forecasting in order to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule and within budget.
  • Supervise and quality-assure the drafting of key policy documents to ensure full compliance to the organization´s rules and regulations governing transactions.
  • Verify the calculated risk levels and provide reporting to senior management to ensure that own work area remains in line with the organization´s policies.
  • Support key aspects of underwriting management, including analysis to monitor profitability and growth of specialty areas of business in order to identify how different scenarios may impact upon the business.
  • Contribute to the development of underwriting processes and the maintenance and implementation of systems and processes that support the organization’s Way of underwriting.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations as a subject matter expert in order to support the resolution of the most complex customer cases and develop precedents to improve customer service.
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships across the organization in order to ensure technical standards are adhered to and changes are implemented correctly.
  • Provide assurance that the underwriting business operates effectively by managing the relationships between different functions and in accordance with agreed rules and frameworks.
