As Nextracker’s Director of Corporate Marketing, you will be responsible for building the Company brand and sharing the Nextracker global story. This role will successfully promote the company through strong internal and external communications programs, content and messaging, social media, customer events and tradeshows, prospects, and employees, and through Community Relations. The qualified candidate will be a driven and engaged senior leader with a successful track record of building and leading brand and global programs. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Marketing & Communications, the Director of Corporate Marketing must have experience across event marketing, brand development, creative, digital marketing, social media, and thought leadership campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Support the evolution of Nextracker’s corporate marketing and brand strategy, resulting in consistent branding, messaging, and positioning of our world-class mark.
- Oversee global event strategy and execution for conferences and solar industry events, building our SME and global speakers bureau, and support internal events with the events team.
- Manage and lead the global events team (2 staff) by coaching and developing team members.
- Working closely with the senior marketing manager, oversee and define the social media program, drafting corporate communications content in concert with product marketing content for a balanced, effective, and compelling social media program
- Manage executive communications for global audiences, including messaging development, and the creation and delivery of high-level communications materials.
- Provide expert communications counsel to and collaborate with the executive team on thought leadership topics, speaking opportunities, and IR programs including earnings, presentations, and IR website.
- Help lead Nextracker’s world-class brand building efforts, managing resources and agency partners to develop and maintain a consistent visual brand globally.
- Working in concert with the CHRO, help lay the foundation for internal communications, branded templates for executive comms, e-newsletter development and the like to foster community and clear communication amongst our global staff on policies and procedures
- Work in close collaboration with a broad range of internal partners, including Marketing, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure alignment of messaging and content.
- Work closely with our General Counsel to help translate our ESG initiatives across our communications channels when appropriate
- Work closely with the Marketing team to contribute to the definition of the strategic objectives for marketing and build strong working relationships to deliver as a team.
- Working with the VP of marketing, execute on a global community relations plan that lifts the next generation of clean energy leaders, trains a diverse solar workforce, and builds programs for greater energy equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Support VP of marketing in executing on public affairs and public relations campaigns, collaborating with industry trade organizations and embedded agencies
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in global B2B corporate marketing in cleantech or large infrastructure industries.
- Strong writing and editing skills: Candidate brings over a decade of copywriting to the team, feels confident in drafting scripts, blogs, presentation materials, and talking points for key leaders prior to events, press interviews, and public speaking engagements.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications from website content to social media editorial.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Extensive experience leading end to end brand marketing programs and campaigns from strategy development to execution and tracking in a global environment
- Outstanding global EQ, people skills and ability to build team culture and trust at various levels and teams within the organization
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead work groups and teams, as well as working across functions, global cultures, and disciplines
- Skilled and proven experience bringing new campaigns and ideas to life.
- Experience leading the development of exciting and effective awareness and brand marketing campaigns that influence developer/ asset owner and EPC target audiences.
- Track record of evolving a brand’s position, maintaining a strong brand presence in mature markets, and creating strategic positioning in new markets
- Proven history in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in the fast-moving, ever evolving utility-scale solar environment.
