Position Overview
Vantage is seeking an experienced, high-potential, detail-oriented, hands-on, flexible Director of HRIS to be an integral part of our Human Resources team. Vantage recently implemented Workday as our HCM system, and requires a leader with depth of experience with Workday directly as well as best practices for HRIS organizational and change management. This position provides the applicant the opportunity to help implement and drive HRIS solutions for Vantage.
Essential Job Functions
  • Partner to create strategies and HRIS structures that provide support to all Human Resource systems
  • Improve overall optimization efforts for the company’s Workday environment
  • Configure, support, and develop Workday related business processes
  • Provide Leadership, direction, HR system expertise and data driven solutions to enable the business to scale
Duties
  • Develop and lead the HR technology strategy and roadmap to align with business needs
  • Project manage the deployment of Workday enhancements and new modules
  • Responsible for all functional internal and external integration developments, improvements, and maintenance across Workday HR modules
  • Develop the strategy, implementation, and management of Global HR reporting and analytics including HR metrics, dashboard, scorecard to report quarterly trends of headcount, attrition, and other key metrics
  • Partner with stakeholders such as Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT and other internal teams to provide support and solutions to business needs, driving toward a touchless integration between Workday and other internal systems
  • Lead change management processes, testing activities, and deployment/migration of configuration. Create release plans in line with Workday’s roadmap
  • Keep up to date on Workday and other HR system enhancements, regulatory changes, state, local & global requirements, and new releases that would be beneficial to implement
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes across the team in conjunction with our HRIS roadmap and leadership
  • Coordinate with HR management team in implementing updates and new features
  • Create training manuals, user guides, and documentation of HR business processes
  • Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
  • Facilitate and conduct end-user training
  • Ensure systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and partner with security management by routinely audit security profiles and assignments
  • Perform regular system audits to ensure all business processes and other configurations are working as expected to maintain data integrity
  • Act as tier 2 point of escalation for troubleshooting HRIS issues sent by the help desk, HR and end-users
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience with Workday required – HCM, Learning, Recruitment, Talent & Performance, and Integrations
  • Expertise in Workday System Administration, Security and Workday reporting
  • Previous Workday Partner experience preferred with active or expired HCM certification
  • Ability to understand the business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Workday data sources and complex calculated fields
  • Outstanding written & communication skills along with high attention-to-detail, required
  • Stay current and on top of HRIS/HCM industry trends via participation in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining a professional network, and participating in professional organizations
  • Travel is expected to be less than 5%
