How You'll Make a Difference:
The Director of Quality (QD) works under the supervision of the Market Medical Director and provides oversight and direction to the Arkos Quality Department (AQD) staff. The QD is tasked with managing and holding staff accountable to Quality Departmental goals and activities, including STAR initiatives. The position demands the ability to collect, report, and respond to metrics and to contribute to the organization's drive to improve the overall experience of patient care, including the quality of health, and work to reduce the cost of care across the population served.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously review and provide performance feedback to the Quality Staff, including annual performance reviews, and implement improvement plans when needed
- Establish individual and department weekly, monthly, and annual goals that support a minimum 4 STAR rating for Medicare, and 66th percentile on HEDIS measures for Medicaid
- Directs, supervises, and prioritized day-to-day functions of QD team
- Provide continuous (at least weekly) feedback to Executive Team regarding Departmental performance
- Continuously provide updated education regarding Quality initiatives to staff and external stakeholders
- Attend educational and demonstration activities, as needed, and directed by VP
- Responsible for evaluating data collected to develop strategies to improve overall performance
- Ensures gaps in care are captured and validated
- Maintain inventory of the department point-of-care testing supplies, ordering as needed to ensure stock is not depleted.
- Monitor’s data entry and maintain appropriate documentation and tracking for quality initiatives
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively as a high performing Quality Director, including collaborating with stakeholders
- Collaborate with other internal department leaders such as Provider Relations and Clinical Services to establish processes that support efficiency and overall goals
- Follow procedures, practices, policies, and guidelines to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of patients
- Create, maintain, and improve policies and procedures for efficient department workflow
- Assist in investigation and resolution of data collection for all LOB
- Responsible for mid-year, and yearly presentations for departmental goals
- Monitor team projects and effectiveness including status follow up
- Identify barriers to include cause & resolution
- Responsible for hiring, training, and counseling all direct reports
- Active member of the QI Committee
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
- Medical Assistant Certification and/or Certified Nurse Assistant Certification required
- 3+ years’ experience management experience, with at least 1 of those years in healthcare
- 5+ years' experience in a healthcare environment
- Recent and related experience working with HEDIS STARS Program
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience in Electronic Health Records
- Experience with verifying eligibility and navigating through Insurance Portals
- Experience with CPT II codes
- Basic knowledge HCC’s and Medical Diagnosis
- Ability to perform multiple procedures with training (i.e.) ABI, DRE, Urine Dips
- Familiarity of Medicare guidelines to perform patient screening’s
- Knowledge of medical terminology
