PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To manage, administer, and supervise the Front Office, Concierge, Bell, Door, Guest Relations, Fitness Center, Pool, The Langham Club and Housekeeping departments, to maintain the highest level of courteous, professional and efficient service to all guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Manages and motivates all Rooms Division managers with daily supervision to include staffing, training, disciplines, scheduling, visual monitoring, performance and adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide exceptional guest experience.
  • Oversees the satisfaction of all guest requests and the resolution of all complaints received by all listed departments.
  • Monitors and ensures adherence to all Langham Five Star Service Standards.
  • Oversees the satisfaction of all guest requests and the resolution of all complaints received by all listed departments.
  • Works closely with Valet Manager and District Manager to ensure operations are meeting Langham expectations.
  • Participates in ROME Meeting strategies in order to maximize overall revenues.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Revenue Management the reservations interface with the Front office to ensure proper supply of inventories, forecasting and scheduling to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Mentors and develops Managers and helps them identify career paths.
  • Communicates with the guests and associates, both verbally and written, to answer questions and provide clear direction.
  • Organize and conducts department meetings in order to develop, direct and maintain consistent service levels within the Rooms Division.
  • Oversees all departmental, budgets, forecasts and operating expenses.
  • Monitors labor expenses through schedule approval process and ensure budgeted productivity.
  • Assists in the development of new programs, which result in an increase level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical activities include walking, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, lifting, carrying, bending, standing, fingering, feeling, holding, grasping, pushing, pulling.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Thorough knowledge of all room department operations, and individual job requirements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills required.
  • Considerable knowledge of Opera systems for registration and reservations
  • Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operational in hotels.
  • Able to manage effectively multiple tasks at all times.
  • Ability to listen effectively and write English clearly to communicate with guests and coworkers.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum 6 years in hotel operations management experience required.

Previous experience as a Division Head

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

CPR Certification and /or First Aid Training preferred.
