Position: Extruder Machine Operator

Location: Franklin Park, IL

Shift: 6pm-6am Rotating Schedule -12 hour shifts, 3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend

Wage: $21.21 - $25/hour based on experience

While reporting to the Extrusion Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating all Extrusion equipment in a safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills, and attention to detail.

Day to day responsibilities include

- Set up and operate and extrusion machine and ensure proper dimensions are set up

- Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, and amounts, dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients

- Ensure that quality expectations are met and notify lead technician, or supervisor, when extruded product fails to meet standards

- Record and Maintain production data such as meter readings ad quantities, types and dimensions of materials produced

- Turn controls to adjust machine functions, such as regulating air pressure or die gaps

This position is in our Plastics facility in beautiful Franklin Park, IL

- At least one year of experience as an extrusion operator in a plastic packaging environment (must have been the operator or lead operator not helper or roll hanger)

- 2 years of machine operator experience

- 2 years of manufacturing experience

- Experience in injection molding

- Steel toe shoes

- Ability to read, write, and perform math skills

- Sense of urgency and responsibility

- Understanding of manufacturing and quality control

- Lift 50lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.21 - $25.00 per hour
