Holiday Inn Express, Santa Cruz, CA is currently seeking a highly trained and motivated Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. As an Unarmed Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients by enforcing rules and regulations, monitoring for suspicious activity, and responding to security breaches. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and employees with respect and maintain a highly professional demeanor at all times.
• Perform routine patrols of the property to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
• Provide assistance to clients and visitors as needed
• Monitor the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients and visitors
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order.
• Complete incident reports, daily reporting and other documentation as required.
• Ensure that all security equipment is in proper working order

Qualifications

- Prior experience as an unarmed security guard preferred with an emphasis on hospitality.

- Ability to remain calm and composed in situations that require de-escalation.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Reliable transportation

- Flexibility to work additional hours if needed.

- Willingness to undergo a background check and pass a drug test
