About the Job

- The Global Network Designer shall analyze, design, architect and implement Technip Energies’ global IT network infrastructure solution. The role is responsible for identification and selection of appropriate services and vendors for the core network infrastructure considering the requirements and constraints. The designer should have deep subject matter expertise to evaluate and (L3) troubleshoot complex technologies with many variables at global enterprise-wide level.

• Provide Design consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to network engineers, and other domain architects.

• Document and develop in-depth knowledge of Technip Energies’ existing network infrastructure, and technology portfolio.

• Develop and manage an global network infrastructure capacity plan.

• Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network infrastructure standards policy.

• Conduct research on emerging cloud technologies in support of IT network infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.

• Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT network infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.

• Develop and execute test plans to check IT network technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.

• Lead and take ownership of Level 3 troubleshooting incidents. Provide guidance and liaise with Network Engineers, internal domains and third party service providers in order to resolve the case in a timely manner.

About You

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, with 10 years of work experience.

• Expert/ Architecture level certification such as CCIE certifications.

• Experience of ITIL methodology or structured IT best practice framework.

Knowledge and Experience

• Excellent knowledge on LAN/WAN/Wireless and network optimisation technologies.

• Experience working in a Global environment and culture, with flexible hour concept.

• Strong technical knowledge on : Networking Protocols/Services BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, Multicast, STP, LAN, DS3, E1, DNS, Application Firewalls, Riverbeds & SD WAN

• Good understanding of typical multi-tier architectures & cloud technologies related to network.

• Work experience with information security concepts, mechanisms, and tools - including public key encryption, remote access, access credentials, and certificate-based authentication.

• Experience working on Large-scale distributed systems architecture.
