We are seeking a Surgical Tech to:Work in our fast paced environment to prepare the Operating Room prior to surgery.Work with world renowned surgeons within our Level 1 Trauma Center.Prepare for and perform complex surgical procedures.Anticipate the needs of and assist surgeons during surgery.Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have permanent address outside50mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile). Experience: Heart and lung transplant experiencerequired.Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic experiencerequired.Complex cases experience preferredCardiovascular procedures, CABG (Coronary artery bypass graft) and Valve procedures highly preferred.Strongcardiac and thoracic skill set including transplant.One (1) year of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required. Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital. Prior traveler experience preferred Licensure and Certification:Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY Education: Successfully completed a surgical technologist program or two years experience in Surgical Technologist role may be considered inlieuofcompletionof program. Reference Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Floating Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
