We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our high caliber team at TAMU Hotel & Suites, Kuala Lumpur.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinating the efforts of the human resources team in the day to day operation. Align the human resources function with the overall strategy of the hotel operation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day to day operations in human resources and assist the General Manager in implementing hotel strategy, including coaching and counseling recruits, and hiring and retaining the best employees.
- Assist in reward and recognition programs.
- Oversee employee relations and labor-related matters as per the labour law.
- Assist in the coordination of annual PDR and evaluation processes, in conjunction with Department Heads and other relevant personnel.
- Maintain and updates manage Human Resources reference material, the Team member handbook, and team member notice boards
- Oversees arrangements for staff sporting and social activities, including the Annual Team Party, in conjunction with the committee and in line with the General Manager’s direction.
- Must be familiar with applicable collective bargaining agreements and relevant local labor union(s).
- Provides coaching, counseling and welfare services to all employees, through their Department Head or through the Human Resources Department.
- Assist in the management including compliance to the specified company standard.
- Work closely with HR Team and other departments to provide the needs of the team members towards the achievement of excellent results from TMOS. To provide continuous feedback and discuss with General Manager on this.
- Ensure compliance with Tamu Hotel policies and periodic instructions, and with systems and procedures laid down by Tamu Standard.
- Participates in any activities not mentioned above which may enhance the competencies and productivity of the employees.
- Compliance to the confidentiality of personnel information, salary and benefits packages must be strongly adhered to.

- Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel within the Hotel including guests where applicable.
- Well-groomed and outgoing personality
- Innovative, self-driven, initiative, creative and result oriented.
- Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope of HRM
- Solid HR knowledge and experiences especially in the Hotel industry
- Must be able to commit
- Minimum SPM / Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with maturity and ability to motivate self and others to perform with professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills including tolerance and flexibility
- Computer literacy in MS Office is essential
- Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated with can-do attitude
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Fluency in other language would be an advantage.
