Job Summary


The Intelligence Practice Lead, Americas, alongside the Consulting & Solutions Practice Director, Americas, is responsible for developing the Intelligence business within the regional security consulting team. The Intelligence Practice Lead will oversee the development, positioning, sales and the effective coordination and delivery of all intelligence consulting and solutions, including Intelligence Managed Services, in the US & Canada region.


In this role the individual will oversee the provision of support to International SOS’s US & Canada regional distribution channels to drive customer satisfaction and profitable growth across relevant business lines, in the technical domain of Intelligence. The individual will help to translate International SOS’s Security value proposition into clear priorities and actions, in support of the business lines’ commercial road maps. In addition, the role will be responsible for: driving day-to-day delivery of Intelligence consulting deliverables (including capability assessment, planning, training etc); establishing a cadre of analyst external consultants; educating key internal stakeholders and clients; leading/contributing to the expansion of intelligence methodologies and deliverables; along with their cadre of external consultants.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


Client deliverables:

  • Capability Assessment: conduct assessments of clients’ intelligence collection capability and maturity and present findings.
  • Capability Development: assist clients to develop comprehensive intelligence program including creation overall design, collection planning, incident and reporting thresholds, policies and procedures, escalation protocols and practices.
  • Training: design, develop, and deliver intelligence training for key stakeholders with client organisations.
  • Intelligence Managed Services: program design and implementation for outsourced intelligence as a service to support client Operations Centers (OCs).
  • Bespoke Intelligence Analysis and Reporting: assisting clients to enhance their own intelligence collection and decision support capability with delivery of bespoke analysis across the depth and breadth of intelligence


Business:

  • Independently identify prospects, in close collaboration with sales leaders, including, but not limited to, conducting client meetings engagements, including being the primary contact to the client and managing a delivery team
  • Act as a subject matter expert on intelligence; attend meetings with clients and prospects to scope solutions and drive client engagement end-to-end project management of client research and analyze a wide range of information and create insightful analysis in accordance with strict deadlines, including presenting and incorporating relevant data and visualizations in PR and Marketing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, including senior leaders in the federal government


Internal:

  • Build, maintain and oversee a strong cadre of external intelligence/ analyst consultants
  • Participate in and lead the development of intelligence processes, procedures, and guidance resources
  • Author thought leadership / white papers on topics that are relevant to our clients
  • Actively engage in appropriate social, professional, media and networking activities and events which strengthen International SOS brand recognition in the security and risk management industry
  • Provide local market, customer and competitor insight

Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Intelligence, global risk analysis, geospatial analytics,
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment; provide rigorous, creative insight in complex situations; and exhibit advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage technology to solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools,
  • Excellent client relationship skills with a track record of sales and engagement delivery success in a high-performing management consulting environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written in English (business level)
  • Ability to travel some of the time and on short notice
  • A large degree of flexibility with regards to work schedule and peaks in work intensity
  • The ability to multi-task and balance competing requirements, including client-facing, business development-related and internal matters
  • Polished public speaker and strong presentation skills in English


Preferred:

  • Experience in intelligence gathering roles in relevant government intelligence community, and/ or equivalent in the private sector
  • Proven track record in developing a sustainable and profitable business solution
  • Able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
  • Experience living and working abroad in a consulting capacity
  • Cross cultural management, particularly in the Americas context
  • Spanish, Portuguese or French language fluency an advantage


Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Security, International Relations, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Geospatial Intelligence or related field
  • Master's degree, preferably International Security, War Studies etc, and/ or Master of Business Administration
  • Relevant intelligence related certifications or qualifications
