This role will be responsible for being the initial contact for the IT ticketing system and providing first-level hardware and software support to end users in accordance with the responsibilities outlined below. The IT Support Specialist will protect integrity of all critical systems and services while providing excellent customer service to all its users.

General Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 IT technical support for Steel King. Support may need to be provided to on-premise users, remote users, or users at other Steel King locations.
  • Primary support includes general troubleshooting of software and hardware or troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Additional support responsibilities may include (but are not limited too):
  • Supporting the Microsoft 365 suite including Microsoft Teams.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving all end-user device issues.
  • Troubleshooting audio and video related equipment issues.
  • User login related issues & basic user security issues.
  • Ability to provide base ERP system support or direct ERP related issues to the appropriate resource.
  • Identify and escalate support tickets / technical situations requiring urgent attention and be able to assign higher level tickets to the appropriate IT team.
  • The IT ticketing system/queue will drive your primary workload.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist Network Administrator on various projects relating to IT Infrastructure and networking, including new hardware and software installations.
  • Assist in new user setup / orientation and system configurations for employee change requests.
  • Assist in developing procedures/documentation, maintaining IT records, maintaining IT assets/inventory, and recommending purchases.
  • Provide project support to the Steel King development team by assisting with hardware and software configurations as needed or basic user security changes.
  • Support and assist other IT staff as needed.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical language.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and intrinsically motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and various tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Must possess a commonsense approach to problem solving, diagnosis and repair.
  • Proficient in a Microsoft 365 environment including MS Teams and SharePoint.
  • Ability to be on-call some nights and weekends. Travel to all Steel King locations as needed.
  • PowerShell/ other scripting knowledge is a plus.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ certifications are a plus or willing to obtain in the future.

Education/Experience

  • Associate degree in Information Technology (Networking/Support) or High School Diploma / GED equivalent with related industry experience.

Hours of Work

  • Regular and consistent attendance is mandatory.
  • Regular hours of work are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday. On premise at Steel King Corporate Office.
  • At times, this position will require flexibility and may need to work outside of the days and times listed herein (Rollout solutions or break-fix support during downtime windows).

Pay: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
