· Safely perform electrical and mechanical repair work, trouble shooting, routine, and preventive maintenance on assigned production lines and support equipment.

· Determine the cause of electrical and/or mechanical breakdowns on assigned manufacturing equipment and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time.

· Able to diagnose and repair more advanced electrical issues.

· Completely assemble or disassemble assigned production lines or support equipment as required for repairs or installations.

· Make all necessary electrical and/or mechanical adjustments to assigned production lines or support equipment to insure proper operation.

· Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and oil, grease, clean, repair, or modify same in performing preventive maintenance routines.

· Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required through management.

· Effectively and safely use a wide variety of electrical test equipment, common hand tools and all shop machines (welding is a plus).

· Perform all tasks within established safety and maintenance procedures.

· Communicate with supervisor and production leads regarding on-going issues and ability to provide resolution with proper documentation and root cause analysis.

· Complete all required safety work orders and report back to management upon completion.

· Follow all safety guidelines set forth by the company and implement new strategies as deemed fit.

· Log all work as performed.

· Perform other tasks/duties as needed and/or instructed by management.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· 3-5 years of experience working in a maintenance capacity (including industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance) on production manufacturing equipment and/or have equivalent training or relevant education.

· Solid electrical knowledge (has a thorough understanding of electrical requirements and hazards, including PLC's and ladder logic).

· Advanced skills with voltmeter to check AC/DC voltage, able to diagnose issues, able to use a schematic diagram to troubleshoot electrical systems.

· Proficient with pneumatics-solenoid valves, actuator and control operations and can read schematics.

· Proficient with basic hydraulic system operations.

· Carry out diagnosis and ensure replacement of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and machines which are faulty.

· Ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions.

· Able to lead, coach, guide and teach trouble-shooting and basic electrical knowledge to lesser skilled maintenance co-workers (if applicable).

· Able to read blueprints, schematics, specifications, building plans and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation.

· Perform replacement of diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools.

· Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.

· Able to work effectively and respectfully with co-workers in a team environment.

· Requires attention to detail.

· Safety oriented.

· Good communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work off-shifts, as needed.

· Continuous learning will be expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Experience:

• Industrial Mechanics: 3 years (Preferred)
