Primary Function:

• Be a creative and proactive contributor on the designing team, focused on continuous improvement.
• Work on a project from the initial brief, through the design and development stage, to the testing of one or more prototypes, right through to final manufacture.
• Develop and design mechanical systems or hardware for projects assigned.
• Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability, and throughput.
• Developing, testing, and evaluating theoretical designs.
• Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Liaise with the system control department in optimizing equipment performance.
• Liaise with customers or suppliers in defining the technical requirements or specs of the assigned projects.

Secondary Function:

• Provide guidance and proper jigs & fixtures to perform equipment calibration and alignments.
• Ensure mechanical designs integrate well with other sections by involving himself/herself heavily in the equipment assembly, integration, and test run.
• Generate and update mechanical part drawings, pneumatic schematics diagram, and BOM list.
• To source, select, and purchase all the materials of mechanical components.
• To provide technical support and resolve design issues.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and above.
• At least 5 years of working experience in mechanical design or related, and above.
• Computer knowledge – Siemens NX8, Intermediate SOLIDWORK skills, CAD and MICROSOFT OFFICE.
• Knowledge in FMEA.
• Knowledge of Advance Pneumatic
• Communication skills
