Medical Front Desk Receptionist

The ideal candidate would be friendly, easy going, hard working, organized and able to work in a busy environment. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
As a Receptionist, your duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Check patients in & out/ schedule appointments.
- Handle heavy phones with patient integration and the ability to be resourceful and pro-active when issues arise.
- Entering/Verifying the correct patient information via our EHR Computer Program
- Verify patient insurances/calling insurance companies
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties including but not limited too; scanning patient information (insurance cards, medication lists, excuse notes, scripts from Doctors etc.) into EHR system, faxing & working with computers.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
Skills & Abilities:
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in EHR and patient management software is a plus
- Hands-on experience with office equipment is a plus. (e.g. fax machines, printers, and scanners.
- Must have professional attitude and appearance, organization skills, strong communication and people skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
Masks are optional for patients and staff.
