Job description
We are seeking Mental Health Technicians (MHT's) for all shifts to provide in-patient care to adolescent and adult patients who are undergoing psychiatric care. Make a difference in someone's life by joining Desert Winds Hospital a new behavioral health hospital.
MHT Responsibilities:
Perform vital signs, body weight, and electrocardiograms.
Partners with nursing for medication administration.
Observes and assists patients with personal hygiene.
Accompanies patients to outside medical appointments.
Attends and participates in treatment team meetings.
MHT Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Coursework in behavioral sciences preferred.
Experience in a psychiatric hospital or residential treatment center preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Timely renewal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for healthcare professional’s certification, annual professional skills verification, and CPI certification. Classes are provided by Desert Winds Hospital.
