2. Responsible for the oversight and direction of procurement and distribution of products for resale, services, and course materials.
3. Maintain a clean, attractive, and professional store appearance.
4. Select and work with suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods and services within budgetary limits.
5. Follow departmental policies and procedures, and support departmental goals and objectives.
6. Lead and oversee the general merchandising and display of products for resale. Create special displays that highlight products that are the focus of promotions.
7. Assist with planning work schedules. Provide direct or functional supervision of department support staff and students.
8. Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work. Actively engage in University continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.
10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associates Degree in business or another related discipline OR a combination of education and experience considered to equal an Associates Degree.
- Proven history of providing excellent customer service.
- One year supervisory experience in a retail setting.
- Experience using advanced features of word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
- Knowledge of higher education course materials.
- Collegiate Retailing Management (CRM) certificate or experience with college merchandising or retail.
- Strong analytical skills and financial judgment.
- Associates degree in business or another related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and written/oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to use judgment when dealing with confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and train others.
- Demonstrated ability to work at any assigned location and to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated commitment to contribute to a safe work environment.
- Ability to integrate safety practices into daily activities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.

- Understanding of lean practices and continuous improvement.
