Wavelet Solutions Sdn Bhd has an opening for MIS – Executive to provide system installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and user support. Strong knowledge of operating systems and networking would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine system installation, troubleshooting, application maintenance tasks and user support.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Responsible for server migration and integrations requested by customers
• Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Cloud
• Select the appropriate Cloud service based on compute, data, or security requirements
• Estimate Cloud usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
• Implement and control the flow of data to and from Cloud
• Identify appropriate use of Cloud operational best practices
• Migrate on-premises workloads to Cloud
• Designed tools for managing the infrastructure and programmed clean & re-usable simple codes.
• Developed codes for extensive test coverage, performed continuous deployment in a professional software engineering environment.
• Worked on various platforms with different programming languages and supported the production cluster management system.
• Configured server images, optimized the task performance in correspondence with the engineers
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Candidate needs to own a functioning laptop

Requirements:

• Candidate must at least possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
• Minimum grade of 2nd upper.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details.
• Able to work independently and is highly responsible.
• Involve in continuous technical and functional improvement.
• Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients.
• An analytical mind set with problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of network technologies as they relate to cloud is an added advantage
• Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Required skills in : Java EE, HTML, JSP, CSS, Servlet, OOP and Python
