The Position

Job Purpose

Key Outcome: Personalised Healthcare is intrinsic to the healthcare ecosystem and patient journeys resulting in better health outcomes

  • The PHC partner will create awareness and education for CGP in the ecosystem and help establish this as the 1st choice of diagnosis in cancer

  • The PHC Partner acts as point of contact for CGP and diagnostic shaping activities for selected strategic stakeholders, e.g. building partnerships for Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) development and institutionalization

  • Supports CGP access solutions, diagnostic/biomarker testing landscape-shaping initiatives, RWD collection set-up and maintenance, digital pathology and data science, bringing in Medical, IT and DIA experts as needed

In order to do the PHC partner will

  • The PHC Partner will, in collaboration with the Patient Journey Partners (PJPs) and Healthcare System Partners (HSPs), identify and anticipate the needs of customers in the field of Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) and Personalised Healthcare (PHC) in order to co-create and develop solutions together with different stakeholders that provide the maximum benefit to patients

  • The PHC Partner enables PJPs and HSPs on CGP/PHC topics and operates in an aligned and coordinated fashion with them

  • The PHC Partner acts as a thought partner for PJPs and/or HSPs by bringing CGP and PHC perspective and expertise locally and across the network.

  • The PHC Partner will do so by bringing relevant and in-depth CGP and genomic testing expertise to internal colleagues and external stakeholders/customers, demonstrating strong customer centricity and collaboration skills.

The PHC Partner is an affiliate based, integrated role (a role with scientific, medical and commercial aspects) with focus on customer interaction as a subject matter expert.

In executing the CGP/Diagnostic/PHC strategy, the PHC Partner provides subject matter expertise and actively engages with external stakeholders in collaboration with HSPs and other internal teams to proactively shape the ecosystem and advance the environment in Malaysia.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Applies and provides to the internal teams and external customers knowledge and expertise of the different diagnostic methods, including IHC, FISH, SISH, biomarkers, NGS/CGP/molecular diagnosis, FMI and liquid biopsy as well as digital health; keeps the organization abreast of developments in PHC and the competitive landscape.

  • In-field main point of contact for NGS/FMI products and solutions including maximizing the patient value of NGS/FMI products and solutions and enhancing customer experience; stewards Roche’s CGP / PHC-related products through their lifecycle and supports their appropriate use, which includes sharing their merits with HCPs in a truthful and balanced manner.

  • A standing member of the PHC Pod and responsible for the co-creation and execution of the overall affiliate PHC strategy as well as the focus, prioritization and resourcing of the agreed local affiliate outcomes based plan & strategy for NGS/FMI/PHC

  • Be accountable for accelerating and successfully implementing NGS/FMI/PHC-related initiatives and experiments through strong and ongoing engagement and co-creation with selected internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strongly collaborate with Roche DIA in joint initiatives on patient identification & testing in oncology.

  • Supports the selection of centers for clinical trials and/or RWD collections (such activities always remain under the full accountability of a medical or HEOR expert role); maintains regular contacts with the investigators of the key studies, in coordination with the local medical team and if necessary provides the insights that may arise during the studies to the medical team.

  • Supports the local medical enablers in regards to IIS proposals for PHC and/or GCP/NGS-related studies,: Collaborate with the Medical Expert in prioritizing relevant research ideas they may identify from sensing the ecosystem and developing them into research projects; help bring stakeholders together further evolve any research ideas and scope, create partnerships across the ecosystem, and be part of ongoing discussions with Medical throughout the project, always under full accountability of a Functional (Medical or HEOR) Expert Role. (Note: Functional experts - medical or HEOR, depending on the purpose of the study - must be accountable for the project design and conduct).

  • Liaise with other NGS/FMI/PHC-related functions, and is connected and engages with colleagues across the organization in a global network. While the PHC Partner will primarily operate within the local organization, it is expected that a PHC Partner will dedicate some time to network initiatives and support for colleagues and potentially customers from other affiliates

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team is required, experience in both formulating cross-functional strategies and orchestrating cross-functional teams is highly desired.

  • Strong business acumen with desired expertise in commercialization, medical and customer experience excellence

  • Able to understand and leverage digital means and tools is desired

  • Deep experience in agile ways of working is desired

  • Degree or higher in the field of molecular / Genomic testing / Pharmacy / Science

  • Work experience in customer facing roles

Fluent in local language. Proficient in English to collaborate internally across the broader Roche enterprise is highly desirable.
