About Our Client
Our client is a global company which design and supply medical & healthcare solutions. They are operating four manufacturing plants in Malaysia and aggressively expanding their production lines.
At present, they are in search of a Procurement Manager to execute strategic direction and priorities, deliver sustainable value as well as develop supplier relationship.
Job Description
- Supplier relationships
- Manage and develop supply from suppliers
- Strategic direct spend categories
- Responsible to gather, analyze and report spend and cost saving data
- Lead and facilitate procurement activities to support the business targets and needs.
- Supporting the strategic direction of the Procurement and Sourcing function in line with the Global Operations and Sourcing strategy to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
- Ensure that the Supplier base is compliant to ethical values and code of conduct
- Identify and implement mitigation plans for supply risks and establish a qualitative and value-driven supplier base
- End to End responsibility for the Direct Procurement Activities
- Manage global tenders through RFI, RFQ, and other state of the art procurement methodologies.
- Monitor market and industry trends
- Facilitate and co-operate with R&D for new products and innovations.
- Perform supplier evaluations and qualifications to ensure compliance and sustainability.
- Support all environmental, safety and sustainability programs, policies, and procedures
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Operations, Engineering, legal or Finance related subject
- 5 years of procurement & sourcing experience, supply chain or operational management experience.
- Medical Devices or Medical related experience an advantage
- Knowledge within the field of gloves is preferred.
- International business experience is required including international travelling.
- Good interpersonal skills, customer-oriented and with strong communication and persuasion skills.
