Currently we contract operate more than 50 facilities nationwide. Woodard & Curran draws on the experience of hundreds of certified operators across the country, backed by the knowledge and skills of hundreds more engineers, scientists, and regulatory experts, to quickly tackle the most challenging operational issues and keep treatment plants running efficiently and in full compliance.
Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are looking for qualified Project Managers near Baltimore, Maryland, specifically with Anaerobic Digestion experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance and management, administrative duties, and maintaining close client communications. What would you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
Day-to-day operations and management of the facilities, including provision of trained staff,- Day-to-day operations and management of the remote communications network and assigned SCADA network.
- Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program,
- Administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects,
- Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc.
- Provision of requested / required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
The Project Manager will play an active role in the coordination and communication with assigned staff, client representatives, contractors, and any assigned engineering firms. He or she will also work closely with all parties to ensure effective system operation and optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing hands-on work and producing all required reports. He or she will coordinate the on-going daily operation of a complex process facility.
What would you need to succeed?
- High School Degree or Equivalent, Technical degree in Science or Engineering preferred.
- A valid State of Maryland Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license, 5A preferred.
- Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
- 5+ years’ experience in managing operations of an Anaerobic Digestion facility, or similar process plant.
- Familiarity with pumps, compressors, agitators, depackagers, conveyors, separators, flares and gas blowers.
- Experience overseeing a budget of $1.5 million or more.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record with regulators.

The salary ranges given below are a national average only and may be different for this role based on specific collective bargaining agreements or contract requirements.
Please reference this project specific pay range instead. In addition, for facilities that are unionized and receive benefits through the union, the benefits may differ from what is listed.
Project Specific Pay Range: $90,000 - $150,000.

Compensation
Pay:
This position’s anticipated pay range is provided below; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.
Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:
Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the role’s organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings**
